What is it?

This taster session introduces the format and purpose of an Action Learning Set (ALS). An ALS is a structured form of peer support with a facilitator, which takes place once a month with the same people attending each time.

The purpose of an ALS is to focus on work challenges and learn from the process. Members present and explore live work issues with support from other members in a facilitated and safe environment. The emphasis is on action and reflection.

Who is it for?

The ALS taster session is for CEOs, Directors, senior managers and team leaders working in charities, community groups and social enterprises across Brighton, Hove, Adur and Worthing.

It’s a chance to find out whether joining a 6 month ALS is for you.

Testimonials from previous ALS participants:

“Gives space for personal as well as professional development – consistently a very non-judgemental culture.”

“This is the first block of time I’ve actively protected for myself month by month – the value is huge.”

“My relationship with my board is completely different – this has changed my outlook.”
