This month we focus on sustainability and the environment because there are so many good things happening across our area.

Read on to find out what our local communities are doing to support nature and take action on climate change.

The Wellderness is a non-profit Community Interest Company based in West Sussex.

"We invite you into the outdoors to connect with our community and reconnect with nature.

When you’re there, you get to do things like ice baths, foraging, circus skills and tai chi. You can honour the seasons, delve into ancient festivals and celebrate all that nature has to offer. And you’ll get to plant trees. Loads of them."

Cost: Free event

A community food, fashion, music and green spaces festival for all ages to enjoy. Sessions happening throughout the day include hip hop, ukulele workshops, mini cross-stitch, hair braiding, foraging and clothes mending. There will be local beers and gin available on the day.

Bereavement Choir

Andy's Angels Intergenerational Bereavement Choir will be a safe place for adults and children 8 years and upwards to come along and use the strength of singing and music to support them in their journey. Non-singing support crew also welcome!

Nature Connection

Date & Time: Tuesdays or Wednesdays from October 
Venue: Sussex Countryside
Cost: Free or low cost

This 8-week programme is for people who have experienced significant mental health challenges and offers the opportunity to spend time in nature with a family supporter or carer. Free transport.
