Describe your EDI goals - in person session

Join Chris Brown and Sabah Holmes from the Council’s Equalities Team for an overview of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

The session will include:

• What EDI is and why it matters
• Key information about the Equality Act 2010
• What an intersectional approach looks like
• Monitoring your impact and using 2021 census data
• Practice writing equalities statements

This session is only for community groups, charities and anyone considering an application for Brighton & Hove City Council funding. It will give you a chance to reflect on and improve your current practice.

Chris and Sabah will deliver a short presentation and there will be plenty of time for questions and answers.

As this is a 2 hour session we plan to have a 10 minute break.
