Are you ready to bid for Brighton & Hove City Council grants, including the Thriving Communities Investment Fund? A vital part of a successful application will be how you describe your EDI objectives. Free
Join Chris Brown and Sabah Holmes from the Council’s Equalities Team for an overview of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
The session will include:
- What EDI is and why it matters
- Key information about the Equality Act 2010
- What an intersectional approach looks like
- Monitoring your impact and using 2021 census data
- Practice writing equalities statements
This session is only for community groups, charities and anyone considering an application for Brighton & Hove City Council funding. It will give you a chance to reflect on and improve your current practice.
Chris and Sabah will deliver a short presentation and there will be plenty of time for questions and answers.

As this is a 2 hour session we plan to have a 10 minute break. The session will be recorded and sent round afterwards if you need to step away.
