This seminar, lead by Fiona Martin, focuses on what employers need to know before running a fair capability process and how to support staff in order to ensure they are performing at the required level.

The session will include:

  • Staff appraisals that work well for your organisation
  • Capability processes including Performance Improvement Plans
  • Dealing with staff who are under-performing
  • Hybrid working
  • Safely using Settlement Agreements as an alternative to the capability process
  • How to deal with sickness absence and grievances when performance managing employees

Attendees will learn how to deal with capability and performance issues efficiently and fairly. Written materials will be provided including case studies and a best practice capability policy.
