Volunteer recruitment is about attracting and involving people in your opportunities, ensuring a good match for volunteers and your organisation.

No matter how many volunteers you are looking for or the size of your group or organisation, getting it right from the beginning is key to a fulfilling experience for both you and volunteers.

This session will cover best practices and inclusive approaches for effective recruitment and induction of volunteers.

We will be looking at:

  • Planning for recruitment
  • Embedding inclusive and accessible volunteering from the start
  • Designing meaningful roles and creating role descriptions
  • Recruitment methods
  • The purpose and value of an induction

By the end of the session, you will have an increased understanding of what best practice looks like and how to apply it to build effective recruitment for your organisation or group.

Who is this session for?

Anyone involved in volunteer recruitment, whether you are new to this or looking for a refresher.

Trainer

Mel Wilson has over 25 years of experience in volunteer management and coordination, involving and supporting volunteers from diverse backgrounds across different charities and organisations.
