Volunteer recruitment is about attracting and involving people in your opportunities, ensuring a good match for volunteers and your organisation.

No matter how many volunteers you are looking for or the size of your group or organisation, getting it right from the beginning is key to creating a positive and rewarding experience for both you and volunteers.

This training will look at best practice and inclusive approaches for recruiting and inducting volunteers effectively.

In this training we will be sharing with you:

  • Why planning is key for recruitment
  • Embedding inclusive and accessible volunteering from the start
  • Designing meaningful roles and creating role descriptions
  • Effective volunteer recruitment practices
  • The importance and value of an induction

By the end of the training, you will have an increased understanding of what best practice looks like and how to apply it to build effective recruitment for your organisation or group.

Who is this Training for?

Anyone involved in volunteer recruitment who wants to develop their knowledge, skills and practical approaches. This can be whether you are new to this or looking for a refresher.

This is a training-focused session and whilst there will be opportunities to meet others, it does not include dedicated networking activities.

Trainer

Mel Willson has 25 years of experience in volunteer management and coordination, involving and supporting volunteers from diverse backgrounds across different charities and organisations.
