Volunteers’ week is in June every year. It’s a dedicated week to recognise, celebrate and say a huge THANK YOU to all of the UK’s amazing volunteers for everything they are involved in within their local communities, voluntary sector and society as a whole.

Volunteers’ week first started in 1984 and is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

Join us in saying thank you to all volunteers across Adur, Worthing, Brighton and Hove – some organisations have already done this by joining other local charities and groups in a thank you film.

Each organisation will be doing their own thing in celebrating volunteers and they can also say thank you for by sharing their celebrations and words on Facebook, Instagram and X.

“Every day I learn something new from volunteers and I’m inspired by everything they do and bring, a world without volunteers’ passion is something I don’t want to imagine. Thank you to each and every volunteer for everything you do” – Mel, Community Works Volunteer Centre Coordinator.
