About Brighton Women's Centre

BWC has been supporting self-identifying women across Sussex since 1974. Our aim is to empower women and reduce inequality by promoting independence in a safe, women-only space. We welcome all women, regardless of age, disability, gender, marital status, parenthood, race, belief, and sexuality. Our services include: Peer-to-peer support (including 50+ groups), therapy and holistic therapy services, food bank, telephone 'drop-in' helpline, Toybox pre-school, Inspire project (working with women in contact with the criminal justice system), and WASS (women-only accommodation support). We provide training and support for volunteers who wish to offer their skills with one or more of our services. Currently, our services are running remotely due to COVID-19.
