Having an effective and diverse board doesn’t just happen, it starts from planning and running your trustee recruitment.

No matter the size of your charity, getting it right at the beginning is key to finding people who will be committed and engaged to the success of your organisation.

In this training we will be sharing with you:

  • the importance of planning
  • effective recruitment practices
  • how to define your trustee role
  • why induction is important

By the end of the training, you will have an increased understanding of what best practice looks like and how to apply it to build effective recruitment for your charity.

Who is this session for?

Anyone who is responsible for your trustee recruitment, whether you are new to this, or looking for a refresher.

Trainers

Mel Willson and Lisa Mytton have combined experience in giving advice, support and guidance in volunteer and trustee recruitment and best practices, good governance and how to run an effective organisation. Lisa is currently chair of a community centre.
