Our continued support for Adur & Worthing’s VCSE Sector
After eight years of delivering vital VCSE infrastructure support in Adur and Worthing, our services are changing as the funding changes in the local area. But our commitment to the sector isn’t ending here.

From July onwards, Community Works will continue to offer support to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) groups across Adur and Worthing — just in a different way.
What’s changing
Our direct contract with Adur & Worthing Councils is ending, which means some services (like 1:1 funding advice, networks & some training sessions, and bespoke development support) will no longer be funded. However, some services will be available to Community Works members:
What’s staying
-
Advice and Support: you can still access one-to-one advice from our team offering practical guidance, signposting, and a listening ear to help you navigate challenges and grow your organisation
-
Representation: we will continue to advocate for the Adur and Worthing VCSE sector across West Sussex at a strategic level
-
Communications: you’ll still receive updates through our newsletters and e-lists spotlighting funding, partnerships and local opportunities
-
