As we reflect on the joy and energy of last weekend’s Trans Pride event and the recent Worthing Pride and look forward to Brighton & Hove Pride and other local Prides this Summer, we want to take a moment to express Community Works’ ongoing solidarity with LGBTQ+ and Trans+ communities and to celebrate the rich diversity and the allyship that strengthens and enriches our voluntary and community sector.

As always, we stand alongside all of those who experience discrimination and exclusion because of their protected characteristics and identities, including Trans, Nonbinary, Intersex and Gender-Diverse people.

As a local infrastructure organisation, we are committed to building inclusive and welcoming spaces where people feel safe to be themselves. We continue to listen, learn, and take action to ensure that our services and environments are actively LGBTQ+ inclusive and supportive of everyone in our community.

Pride is a time for celebration, but also for reflection and action. We remain committed to working in partnership to create a future where everyone can live with safety, dignity and pride.
