Community resilience project update
This month our community resilience partnership project focusses on the risks of hot weather and pollution.
Community Works is delivering a project to help Brighton and Hove communities prepare for risks they might face. The project is run in collaboration with the Trust for Developing Communities (TDC) and the Hangleton & Knoll Project. This month’s focus is on hot weather and pollution.
The project is funded by the Sussex Resilience Forum and aims to ensure that people in Brighton & Hove are prepared for potential emergencies and that communities are resilient.

Brighton & Hove City Council has produced a list of places where people can stay cool during hot weather. Find it here: Places to stay cool in Brighton & Hove. They are keen to expand the list. If you have a building that could be a ‘cool hub’, let us know on info@communityworks.org.uk and we’ll pass it on.
